How to price your list
- Price each item the way you measure it: per device for outlets, switches and fixtures, per foot for wire and conduit runs, and flat for panels, subpanels and EV circuits.
- Keep the service call or diagnostic charge as its own line, so a small repair still covers the drive and the first half hour.
- List permit and inspection fees separately. Customers accept them more easily when they see they go to the city, not to you.
- For panel upgrades and EV circuits, write down what the price assumes (distance from the panel, existing capacity), so changes on the day become a new line, not an argument.
Next time, quote it by voice.
FieldDraft turns a voice note and a photo from the job site into this kind of quote, priced only from your own list, and sends it to your customer to accept online. Import the CSV you just downloaded in Price book → Import a spreadsheet.
Questions
Why are there no prices?
On purpose. Labor rates and markups change from city to city and shop to shop, and a list with someone else's prices is how jobs get underpriced. The items and units are a starting point; the prices are yours.
Does it work with Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. The download is a CSV file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers, and imports straight into FieldDraft.
Where is my list saved?
Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to us. Download the CSV to keep a copy.
