Getting started
- Create an account at fielddraftapp.com (14-day free trial, no card).
- Add your price book: load a starter list for your trade and change the prices to yours, import a spreadsheet (CSV), type items in, or connect Jobber or QuickBooks Online in Settings to import your products and services.
- Draft a quote: say or type what the job needs, optionally add photos. Every line is priced from your price book.
- Send it as a link your customer can accept and sign, or push it to Jobber or QuickBooks.
Use FieldDraft in Claude
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Discover, search FieldDraft and click Connect.
- Sign in with your FieldDraft account and approve access.
- Ask, for example: “Use FieldDraft to draft a quote: 200A panel upgrade and a 50A EV charger circuit for John Smith.”
What FieldDraft can do in Claude (and in ChatGPT):
- Draft a quote from a job description, priced only from your price book. Lines with no match are flagged and left unpriced, never guessed.
- Find and open quotes, and search your price book (“what do I charge for a GFCI?”).
- Update a quote’s lines when you ask for changes (quantities, prices, adding or removing lines).
- Push a quote to Jobber and sync your price book from Jobber, only when you ask and confirm.
FieldDraft never sends anything to your customer from Claude or ChatGPT; you review the quote and send it yourself. Plans and billing are managed on fielddraftapp.com only. To disconnect, remove FieldDraft in Claude’s Connectors settings; to delete your data, email us.
Use FieldDraft in ChatGPT
FieldDraft’s ChatGPT app is in OpenAI’s review. Once it’s listed, connect it from ChatGPT’s apps, sign in with your FieldDraft account, and ask it to draft a quote the same way.
Common questions
- A line says “no price book match”. That item isn’t in your price book. Add it on the Price book page (or in Jobber/QuickBooks and sync), or set a price on the line directly.
- Quantities look wrong. Set each item’s pricing basis (per each, per foot, per hour, per square, flat) on the Price book page.
- Jobber won’t connect. Log into the Jobber business account (not the Developer Center) in the popup, then reconnect from Settings.
- No price list yet? Email your price list or a few old quotes to support@fielddraftapp.com and we’ll set up your price book.
- Billing. Manage or cancel from Settings → Manage billing. To delete your account and data, email us.
